Turkey makes final ruling on safeguard measures for imported nylon yarn

On October 23, 2019, the WTO Committee on Safeguards issued the safeguards notification submitted by the Turkish delegation to it. On October 22, 2019, the Turkish investigative agency issued an announcement in its official gazette, stating that it will make a final decision on safeguard measures against imported nylon (or other polyamide) yarns (YarnsMade of Nylonor Other Polyamides). It is recommended that the products involved in the case be dealt with from November 21, 2019. Special tariffs are imposed for a period of 3 years (see the table below for details of the measures).
