In contrast, demand in the international market is better, and orders are relatively active. Last week (August 14-18), the price of PTA in the international market continued to rise, and the price of domestic polyester staple fiber in Pakistan remained unchanged. The price of 1.4D polyester staple fiber remained at 128 rupees/kg, and the import price from China rose to 1.09 USD/kg. It is expected that the price of polyester staple fiber in Pakistan may start to rise in the future. Due to the increase in raw material costs, the profit margin of Pakistani blended yarn has declined.　　 Last week (August 14-18), the domestic viscose fiber price in Pakistan remained unchanged at 245 rupees/kg, while China’s imports rose rapidly to 2.10 US dollars/kg. Due to the stable prices of polyester staple fiber and viscose fiber, the prices of PC yarn and PV yarn in Pakistan remained unchanged last week.　　 In the past two days, cotton prices in Pakistan have slowly recovered, and then fell to Rs 6,050/Mengde, the lowest level since November 2016.
