Pakistan will abolish the 5% adjustment tax on imported cotton yarn

On December 2, Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s Financial Adviser Sheikh presided over the Cabinet Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) meeting. The meeting approved the proposal of the Ministry of Commerce to abolish the 5% adjustment tax on imported cotton yarn until June 30, 2021.　　 Sheikh said that the abolition of the adjustment tax imposed on imported cotton yarns will promote the export of the garment sector, which is in line with the policy of obtaining more value-added exports.
