Brazil makes its first anti-dumping sunset review affirmative final ruling on Chinese nylon yarn

On December 23, 2019, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Commission (CAMEX) issued Resolution No. 19 of 2019, making it the first place for nylon thread (Portuguese: fios têxteis de filamentos contínuos de náilon) originating in China, Taiwan, and South Korea. The anti-dumping sunset review confirmed the final affirmative ruling and decided to continue to impose anti-dumping duties on the products involved (see the attached table for the specific tax amount: the taxation table of the enterprises involved), and the validity period is 5 years. The Mercosur City Tax Numbers of the products involved are 5402.31.11, 5402.31.19, 5402.45.20.   On July 9, 2012, Brazil initiated an anti-dumping investigation against nylon thread originating in China, South Korea, Thailand, and Taiwan. On December 27, 2013, Brazil made an affirmative final ruling on the case. On December 24, 2018, Brazil initiated the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation on nylon thread originating in China, South Korea, Thailand, and Taiwan. On March 14, 2019, the Brazilian Ministry of Economy issued Announcement No. 15 to cancel the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation on nylon yarns originating in Thailand. On September 2, 2019, the Brazilian Ministry of Economy issued Announcement No. 53, making the first anti-dumping sunset review preliminary ruling on nylon yarns originating in China, Taiwan, and South Korea.
