Successfully developed Belarus conductive carpet yarn

Recently, the Natural Fiber and Chemical Fiber Spinning Research Group of the National Technical University of Belarus, in cooperation with enterprises, developed composite conductive carpet yarns on an improved twisting and doubling machine. It is reported that the composite conductive carpet yarn is on the original feeding rack of the twisting and doubling machine, and a feeding node is set to output and import the copper microwires that need to be added to the composite conductive yarn.   This composite conductive carpet yarn has a linear density of 520tex, an absolute breaking load of 2204.3Cn, a coefficient of variation of breaking load of 6.6%, elongation at break of 12.6%, and coefficient of variation of elongation at break of 15.5%. Experiments have shown that the conductive yarn has a suitable twist of 95-107 twists/m, and the conductive copper wire has a tension of 20-26Cn. The composite conductive carpet yarn can reduce the electrostatic resistance of the blended carpet yarn (including polyacrylonitrile fiber, polyamide fiber and wool fiber) from 1014 ohm to 104 ohm to prevent the accumulation of static electricity on the surface of the carpet. The conductive carpet manufactured is mainly Used in airports and railway departments.
