Outer yarn quotations rise overall, low-count yarn shipments pick up

According to the reports of cotton yarn trading companies in Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Qingdao and other places, ICE cotton futures have continued to bottom out since late August, foreign cotton spot quotations have risen strongly with ICE, the European Union’s interest rate cut, the restart of QE, and the Federal Reserve’s second interest rate cut this year, etc. As a result, the quotations of cotton yarns in Vietnam, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Central Asia and other origins have shown an overall increase in the past two months (9/10/11 shipping schedules and bonded yarns), especially the quotations of Vietnamese yarns have risen prominently. Judging from the quotations provided by several brands, major factories, and reputable Vietnamese yarn mills, the quotations from OE yarns to high count yarns and combed yarns have been increased by 3-10 cents/kg, high-quality, package bleaching and tight competition. The increase in spinning was slightly larger. Some weaving factories and intermediaries said that because the US dollar quotation of bonded and cargo Vietnamese yarns has been the same as India and Central Asia cotton yarns or even slightly higher than 3-5 cents/kg, they have reduced or suspended Vietnam’s 9/10/11 shipping schedule. The inquiries and purchases of Vietnam yarns are also mainly used for customs clearance cotton yarns, and interest and attention in bonded yarns have declined; instead, the atmosphere of inquiries for cotton yarns from India, Pakistan and other origins has picked up. Intermediaries in Foshan, Guangdong, Shaoxing, Zhejiang and other places said that the shipment of imported yarns of C32S and below counts has improved compared with August, especially the orders for C21, C26, and C32S knitting yarns are not satisfactory; but India, Vietnam, and Central Asia produce 40S-60 The trading of carded yarn and combed yarn above 40S (including tight-spinning) is still light, and some traders even describe it as Mencroque.
