Investigation of textile enterprises in Foshan, Guangdong

On June 23, 2017, the China National Cotton Association conducted a survey in Foshan, Guangdong and visited local denim companies.　　1. Operation status　　　　　　　　　　Foshan area denim companies have been operating smoothly, production has increased to varying degrees, profits have remained flat year-on-year, and sales in 2017 are expected to increase year-on-year.　　Second, raw materials and product structure　　The denim enterprises in Foshan area mainly produce mid-to-high-end denim. From the perspective of raw material demand, the denim yarn used by local enterprises is not only diverse but also of high quality. First, local companies use a large amount of cotton blended yarn, which accounts for about 30% of the total yarn consumption; second, in addition to conventional pure cotton yarn, some companies use high-quality Xinjiang cotton or even denim yarn spun from Australian cotton as raw materials. From the point of view of yarn origin, the ratio of imported yarn to domestic yarn is about 1:1.　　3. Enhancing environmental awareness　　According to the company, environmental protection requirements in Guangdong have been tightened year by year. The government has gradually shut down some backward production capacity and has significantly increased the intensity of sewage discharge inspections of existing denim companies. The government is also guiding enterprises to enter the park in a planned way for centralized sewage treatment. Companies all say that environmental protection is the future development direction of the denim industry.　　Fourth, transformation and upgrading　　The denim companies surveyed all regard quality, efficiency and benefit as the lifeline of their survival and development. Therefore, the main direction of these enterprises' transformation and upgrading is to strengthen management, control the operation of the enterprise, and ensure the stability of product quality; second, to upgrade the equipment level, improve production efficiency, and increase enterprise output; third, to increase research and development efforts and shorten In the new product development cycle, establish key laboratories to increase the added value of products.
