India yarn prices continue to fall in the past week

In the past week, Indian yarn prices continued to fall. This year, India's cotton consumption is expected to decrease by 15%, while cotton production increases, so cotton and yarn prices may fall sharply.  In the week, the price of cotton yarn in India continued to fall, with 30 knitting yarns falling by 8% in the past three months. In recent weeks, India's cotton and chemical fiber prices have continued to fall, and the profits of spinning mills have shrunk significantly.   Although business activities in India are slowly recovering, the demand for clothing in Western countries is still very weak. However, many garment factories in India have begun to produce masks, hoping to export large quantities to the United States and Europe as soon as possible. At present, the Indian government is worried about the shortage of domestic mask supply and temporarily prohibits the export of masks. Once the decree is cancelled, India will immediately start exporting in large quantities.  Affected by the epidemic, cotton consumption in India is expected to drop sharply this year. According to the forecast of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, India's cotton consumption is expected to drop by nearly 15% this year.   At present, the price of domestic cotton in India has been artificially increased by the purchase of Indian cotton companies, which has led to a decline in the competitiveness of Indian cotton yarn in the international market. As India's cotton production increased by 18% this year, cotton farmers and CCI will begin to sell inventory, so Indian cotton prices are expected to fall sharply.
