India started to investigate nylon yarn imported from EU and Vietnam

The General Anti-dumping Administration of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Indian Government and the General Customs Administration will conduct anti-dumping investigations on imports of 'nylon silk (multifilament)' exported from the European Union and Vietnam. Currently, the product being produced is 'nylon synthetic silk yarn　　 The investigation started because of the applications submitted by the following companies, namely JCT Co., Ltd., Gujarat Polyfilms Pvt Ltd, Gujarat Fertilizer Co., Ltd., Prafful Overseas Pvt Ltd and AYM Syntex (formerly known as Welspun Syntex). There are five other Indian manufacturers of this product, namely Salasar, JPB Fiber, Gupta Sythetics Limited, Century Enka and Oriilon India Pvt Ltd. These companies and manufacturers also support this investigation.　　 The Anti-Dumping Administration found that there was sufficient evidence that the dumping of nylon yarn (NFY) from the EU and Vietnam caused 'harm' to the domestic industry in India. The official report stated: There is a causal relationship between dumping and 'injured' industries, and this is the reason for the start of an anti-dumping investigation. '　　 The investigation will determine any suspected dumping, extent and impact, and recommend that the amount of anti-dumping duties (if imposed) is sufficient to eliminate the 'damage' to domestic industries. 　　 The investigation period proposed by the applicant is from April 2015 to September 2016, but The Anti-Dumping Administration believes that the investigation should also be conducted from October 2015 to March 2017 (18 months). It also believes that the 'damage' investigation period should include 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16. 　　 Nylon yarn (NFY) is a synthetic filament yarn prepared by the polymerization of organic monomers.
