India's new cotton yield declines, yarn demand picks up

by:Chengyi     2021-03-15
The main problem in the Indian market is the decline in the yield of new cotton and the reluctance of cotton farmers to sell it. It is understood that the yield of some cotton areas in India has decreased by 30-40% year-on-year due to excessive rainfall and continuous high temperature in the later period. The ginning plant expects that the new cotton processing will continue until May-June 2012. In recent days, inquiries from domestic textile mills in India have begun to increase, and the yarn market has also picked up. Due to the lower cost of alternative products, the yarn production balance is basically balanced, but whether yarn demand can continue to pick up remains to be seen.
