For the black swan, domestic and foreign yarn prices plummeted, and traders also suffered blood losses, with an average loss of 2,500 yuan per ton of yarn. At the same time, some traders defaulted. For the imported cotton yarn, traders mostly worked hard to sell it in February, March and April. By the end of April, the stock of high-priced cotton yarn imported before was basically digested.　　 At present, the country’s port cotton yarn inventory will not exceed 150,000 tons, which is at a low-medium level. Inventories are mainly concentrated in southern China, and Guangdong has a larger volume. In terms of varieties, low-count yarns of 21 yarns and below, including open-end spinning and Siro spinning, account for 60% of imports, 32 yarns account for more than 20%, and the rest are other varieties. The current spot shipments are not ideal. Relatively speaking, 32 knits and 21 knits are now better shipped. During this period, the outer price of outer yarns has been declining, and has dropped a lot. Some 21 Indian yarns can be quoted at US$1.85/kg, equivalent to RMB 16,500/ton, which is 500-1000 yuan/ton lower than the spot price. On the whole, traders suffered a large loss some time ago. Although they still dare not be too optimistic about the market outlook, their mentality has basically been adjusted. Most importers are thinking about where they fall and where to get up, so they continue to order when the time is right. Some traders have also purchased domestic yarns, and the prices of domestic yarns are currently low, but because they do not have the financing function of imported yarns, most traders only use them as supplementary equipment.
