China's demand drops, India's cotton yarn export prices continue to fall

by:Chengyi     2021-03-15
In the past week, India’s cotton yarn export prices continued to fall due to the decline in Chinese demand. Prior to this, the price of cotton yarn in India rose sharply, driven by increased domestic and foreign demand. In the week, the price of knitting yarn in India fell by about 5 rupees/kg, and the price of woven yarn fell by 11 rupees/kg. In two weeks, knitting yarn has fallen by 10 rupees/kg, but it is still much higher than the level four weeks ago. As the Chinese New Year approaches, India’s cotton yarn export demand has decreased significantly and prices have fallen. FOB export quotations fell by about 4 cents/kg in a single week.
