According to statistics from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, as of August 17, 2017/18 cotton net export sales of the United States had reached 1.5 million tons, an increase of 557,000 tons year-on-year, completing 48% of the USDA forecast. The cumulative shipment volume of US cotton reached 124,000 tons, fulfilling 4% of the USDA export forecast.　　 The total contracted volume of U.S. cotton exports in 2018/19 reached 132,000 tons, an increase of 57 thousand tons over the same period last year.
