37% of U.S. cotton exports next year

According to statistics from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, as of July 13, the U.S. 2016/17 cotton net export sales totaled 3.455 million tons, an increase of 1.287 million tons year-on-year, an increase of 59%, and 108% of the USDA export forecast.　　 The U.S. cotton shipment volume reached 3.105 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.197 million tons, an increase of 63%, and 97% of the USDA export forecast was fulfilled, which was higher than the 95% in the same period last year.　　To complete the USDA export forecast, the average shipment of U.S. cotton needs to reach 33,800 tons in the remaining two weeks of this year.　　As of July 13, the US 2017/18 cotton net export contract volume reached 1.109 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 587,000 tons, an increase of 112.4%, and 37% of the USDA export forecast was completed, which was higher than the 16% in the same period last year.
