According to data from the National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, in the first quarter of 2018, Uzbekistan's textile exports reached 317 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 14.7% year-on-year. Textiles accounted for 7.8% of the country’s foreign trade exports. The main export variety was cotton yarn, which accounted for 58.9%, with a value of US$186.5 million. Knitted garments accounted for 21.3%, with a value of 67.4 million U.S. dollars, cotton and knitted fabric exports were 15.2 million U.S. dollars, and silk exports were 10 million U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 92.3%. In December 2017, the President of Uzbekistan made a thorough adjustment to the textile industry, and in 2018 the country established a cotton textile gathering place. The new model is to integrate a single production cycle (including cotton production, primary processing, deep processing and production of high value-added textile end products, etc.). In 2018, Uzbekistan added 140,900 hectares of land for the construction of cotton textile distribution centers. Article keywords: Uzbekistan textile exports overseas textile
